How would you manage traffic?
Applications for resource consents often need a Traffic Management Plan (TMP), detailing how you would manage traffic such as pedestrians, vehicles and cyclists. A TMP is required for large events such as festivals, and for large-scale building developments during the construction phase of the project.

Search for producer statement authors online
A producer statement is submitted to council to confirm that a building design is done in accordance with the building consent.

You can now search online for an approved producer statement author for your project.

Does your pool fence comply?
Did you know that your responsibilities when installing a swimming or spa pool don’t end once a Code of Compliance Certificate is issued? Under the Fencing of Swimming Pools Act 1987, local authorities must inspect pools on a regular basis to ensure fencing is maintained to a complying standard.

Local Government Act engineering approvals
The council's development engineering division administers the Local Government Act approval process. This process is used mostly by private entities for constructing public and private drainage on another party’s private land, usually to facilitate developments.

Where can I place a sign or billboard?
Signs and billboards are controlled in Auckland city by Part 27 of the bylaw. The bylaw lists areas in the city where signs and billboards may be appropriate, as well as the size and location of signs and billboards on private property.

Are you an entertainer?
Do you want to contribute to the cultural life and vitality of our city? Auckland City Council’s new street performance policy lets you know when and where you can perform.
